Licensing & activation

After you subscribe, we email you a license key — a signed code that unlocks Daisy for ongoing use. Buy at daisy.smallbricktory.com.

Activate a license

  1. Open Settings → About (or select Activate license in the trial banner).
  2. Paste your license key into the field.
  3. Select Activate.

When the trial has ended, Daisy shows a gate where you paste the key and select Activate to continue. Daisy verifies your license on your device and checks its validity at least once every 24 hours to keep it current. In between, and through extended periods offline, Daisy keeps working without a connection.

What touches the network, and why

We have no interest in your data — so it's worth being plain about the few times Daisy reaches out. None of it involves your meetings:

  • License validity check — Daisy confirms your key is still valid at least once every 24 hours. Between checks, and across extended periods offline, the app keeps working.
  • Daisy Cloud eligibility — if you use Daisy Cloud, your license key is sent with every Daisy Cloud request so the service knows your license is entitled to it. Your audio and conversations are never stored.
  • Update checks and activation — the only other moments Daisy talks to the network. See Staying up to date.

License duration

Your plan sets the length:

  • Monthly — a 1-month license.
  • Yearly — a 1-year license.

The key's end date is shown in your license email. Important: the clock starts the moment the key is generated (at purchase), not when you activate it on a device — so activate soon after buying.

Renewals — no re-pasting

While your subscription is active, Daisy quietly refreshes your key in the background before it expires, so you stay unlocked without pasting anything. You only ever paste a key once: the first time. (Each renewal also emails a fresh key as a backup.) If a subscription lapses, the key simply expires on its end date.

Your devices

A license covers up to 3 devices. In Settings → About, select Deactivate this device to free a seat for another machine. Your data stays on disk when you deactivate.

Viewing your license

Settings → About shows who the app is licensed to and the expiration date. For security it never shows the full key — just a short License ID fingerprint, enough for support to match your license without exposing it.
