Staying up to date

Daisy checks whether a newer version is available and lets you know with a banner. Updates are notify-only: you download and install them yourself, and Daisy never installs anything on its own.

The update banner

When a new version is found, an info banner appears at the top of the app. It shows:

  • The new version number ("Daisy X is available").
  • The version you are currently on.
  • A link to the release notes and download page (here), which opens the changelog in your browser.

To close the banner, select the dismiss (✕) button. Dismissing also tells Daisy to stop showing you that version — you'll still be notified when a later one is released.

After you download and install the new version the same way you installed Daisy, your data and settings stay in place.

Turn automatic checks on or off

  1. Go to Settings and open the Behavior section.
  2. Find Updates.
  3. Toggle Check for new versions automatically.

When this is on, Daisy checks for updates shortly after launch and again every six hours while the app stays open. If you're offline, or the release manifest hasn't been published yet, the check quietly does nothing. Turning the toggle off stops update checks entirely.

To see which version you're running, open Settings → About — it shows the version and build number.
