Re-running the setup wizard
The first-run wizard lives in Daisy as a reusable screen, but the re-runnable version is intentionally short. It exists to do one thing: swap the default microphone — a quick fix when you've plugged in a new headset or moved between rooms.
Open it
In Settings → Profile, under Re-run setup wizard, click ↻ Open wizard. The microphone picker opens, pre-filled with your current default. Use ← Settings to back out without changing anything.
What you can change here
- Microphone. Pick a different input from the dropdown. The live level meter shows you the device is hearing you. Click Use this microphone to save. If Daisy detects no microphones, it says so and lets you finish without picking one.
Everything else lives in Settings
The other first-run choices each have their own home in Settings and don't need a wizard run to change:
- Your name and profile folder → Settings → Profile.
- Vault setup (trust-this-machine vs. passphrase) → Settings → Profile (move / lock vault).
- AI provider for summaries → Settings → Providers (see Configuring AI providers and defaults and Getting an API key for summaries).
- Voiceprints and speaker recognition → Settings → Voiceprints.
