Re-running the setup wizard
The first-run wizard lives in Daisy as a reusable screen, but the re-runnable version is intentionally short. It exists to do one thing: swap the default microphone — a quick fix when you've plugged in a new headset or moved between rooms.
Open it
In Settings → Profile, select Open wizard. The microphone picker opens, pre-filled with your current default.
What you can change here
- Microphone. Pick a different input from the dropdown. The live level meter shows you the device is hearing you. Click Use this microphone to save.
Everything else lives in Settings
The other first-run choices each have their own home in Settings and don't need a wizard run to change:
- Your name and profile folder → Settings → Profile.
- Vault setup (trust-this-machine vs. passphrase) → Settings → Profile (move / lock vault).
- AI provider for summaries → Settings → Providers (see Configuring AI providers and defaults and Getting an API key for summaries).
- Voiceprints and speaker recognition → Settings → Voiceprints.
Good to know: transcription and speaker labels are always on-device — there's nothing to swap or download here.
